David Lynch returns to close the door to direct a new film, but it leaves the door open to do television again.

One door closes but another opens. It would be one of the conclusions that can be drawn from the interview to the newspaper The Guardian has done to David Lynch. It Lynch speaks of the situation the film:

“It is a very depressing situation. Alternative cinema (any kind of film that is not mass) is it very difficult to find places where the project itself and people who want to see it. Even if I had a great idea, the world is different now. Unfortunately my ideas are not what you could call commercial, and the money actually holds the reins today. Therefore, not be what is my future. I have no clues of what I will do in the world of cinema”.

In spite of this, Lynch still interested in other media, television:

“I like the idea of a continuous story. And television is much more interesting than the film now. It seems that the art House has moved to the television cable.”

Apparently seen, It has all the earmarks that we will end up seeing Lynch return to television in a cable network, as HBO or a platform like Netflix, that you risk much more than conventional chains.
