For Catholics and death on resurrection Sunday to Twin Peaks fans. Negotiations between David Lynch and Showtime have been broken and David Lynch has come down from the boat. Now we can only pray
The alarm was obvious last night when we could hear strong rumors that Showtime had cancelled Twin Peaks. Shortly after the David Lynch himself clarified the situation on Twitter.

After 1 year and 4 months of negotiations, I left because not enough money was offered to do the script the way I felt it needed to be done.

This weekend I started to call actors to let them know I would not be directing. Twin Peaks may still be very much alive at Showtime.

I love the world of Twin Peaks and wish things could have worked out differently.

Tras un año y cuatro meses de negociaciones David abandona porque no ha conseguido que Showtime le de el dinero que considera necesitar para hacer la serie de la forma que él cree que debe hacerse. David has already begun to call the actors to tell them that it will not lead them. Nevertheless continues to Twin Peaks, It will be written by Lynch and Frost but not directed by Lynch.
A few hours after Showtime has responded to the words of Lynch. They indicate that they feel sad by the decision of David, but that they also love Twin Peaks and are going to continue to seek solutions to bring it back with its creators David Lynch and Mark Frost.
Now we must see events. Still want David to direct the series from Showtime, but they will have to convince you.
