It was the year 1991 When New York City hired David Lynch to make an ad that asked its citizens to maintain clean city. New York had problems by trash their fellow citizens thrown to the ground: wrappers, bottles, chewing gum… and a good way to educate its inhabitants was a shocking video. And Lynch did.

In the advertisement, in which Lynch was as director of photography Frederick Elmes, we see how rats can smell the garbage thrown on the ground and come out of their sewers to take over the city. Unknown if the spot had the desired effect, but since then the message to send is clear. The bins are for something, No?
