We analyze the last book hit the market on the American director.
One year after the Twin Peaks phenomenon back to life and when we thought that everything was back to calm, we were pleasantly surprised with the release of David Lynch. Crossing the red curtain.
In this book a tour is by David Lynch's life from his childhood and his beginnings to the recent third season of Twin Peaks. The book is structured in 13 chapters, his childhood being the first reference, family life and his first short films. The rest 12 chapters represent the complete filmography of David, their 10 movies, Twin Peaks original y The return.
Usually in each chapter we find the years before each work, the context in which it was David, How did the idea come about, development, script, etc, all about the filming of the work and subsequent reactions to it. There is also talk of other minor works within those chapters, those developed in the years that context. For example, in the chapter on Twin Peaks, The first section is dedicated to The cowboy and the frenchman. Each chapter is divided into 3 o 4 paragraphs, engaged in various areas of each major work or other aspects.
The 288 book pages are read in a very pleasant way, becoming very entertaining. The book is full of anecdotes and details that make us to imagine what was going through the mind of Lynch in each passage of his life, both personally and professionally. The latter is important because the family life of Lynch brand will in many aspects of his career.
